hi, i’m madelyn

People have a wide range of skills and strengths. You have an amazing and unique set of abilities. What do you believe is(are) your super power(s)?

“I would like to believe that I am a kind and creative person who works very hard at whatever task at hand.”

What are the best opportunities for residents in Jackson to grow, learn and succeed?

“Scholarships and more opportunities for poverty-stricken families to rise out of their hardships.”

What do you see as the biggest challenges for residents in Jackson to live healthy, productive and fulfilling lives?

“Money. Some parents don't have the money to send their children to college, much less put food on the table; resulting in their children ending up in poverty as well. There are a lot of homeless people in Jackson, that I see everyday who just need to get back on their feet. Overall, I think it would be a good idea to set up more homeless shelters.”

Do you think things threaten people's ability to live healthy, productive and fulfilling lives in Jackson? If so what are those things?

“Yes, as I mentioned before, poverty is a huge problem. In addition to that gang violence, health care, mental health, etc.”
