5-9 PM | 500 BLOCK OF DIVISION AVE
There are few things more perfect on a summer night than live music on a front porch, and this #731Day, we're continuing with one of our new favorite traditions with the 6th Annual Porchfest! Enjoy FREE and family-friendly music from local musicians throughout the historic Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association area in the hospitable yards of your Jackson neighbors. Join in on the fun as long as you'd like, moving from house to house with your own lawn chair or picnic blanket and grabbing snacks from local food trucks along the route. This year we will be hosting all the stages on the 500 Block of Division Avenue.
This year features five artists showcasing the best of West Tennessee music across a variety of genres, presented by Jackson: Hidden Tracks with stages sponsored by 5 local businesses.

I was born and raised in the home of Rockabilly music, where everyone can tell you stories of seeing Carl Perkins hanging out at Cecil's Bandstand and eating burgers at the first Hard Rock Cafe in the States. The Hub City is my home. Situated just between Memphis, Nashville, and Muscle Shoals, being in the heart of the Music Triangle has been nothing short of incredible for me as a musician.
My lyrics are heavily influenced by the beatnik movement of the late 50's and 60's in that I write from experience. My lyrics come first, and when you listen to my music, they are at the forefront. Sonically, I would describe my sound as a mix of Americana, Psych-Rock, and Modern Alternative. I love to experiment and evolve as an artist.
I eat, sleep, and breathe music. My grandfather and I own the only brick-and-mortar record store between Memphis and Nashville, and preserving music history is something I am insanely passionate about.

The first, At Home With Rob & Jay, is an electronic album exploring isolation and self-deprecation with unexpected and propulsive sounds. The second, With Love From Rob & Jay, is a jangly, 60's inspired folk album digging into the beauty and the complication of relationships.
